District-Wide Servant Leadership Community Service Projects for Homeless Veterans Planned...We Need Your Help!!!

This year QISD students are working with Whiskers for Wounded Warriors by collecting gently used backpacks and items for survival kits for homeless veterans.

QISD Veterans Day Programs - Thursday, November 9, 2017

1. All campuses are collecting gently used backpacks for survival kits for homeless Veterans. Please help us!!! 
2. Each campus is collecting specific items for the survival kits. The following items will be assembled by our students and donated to Whiskers for Wounded Warriors.

Cannon - toiletry items, small shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, combs, antibacterial wipes
Butler - sunblock, lip balm, flashlights, bandages, pocket tissue
TMS - all-sizes men's underwear, socks, gloves, stocking caps, scarves
FHS - bottled water, shelf staple items (granola bars, packages of cheese, peanut butter crackers, canned-food with pop tops)

See the attached flier for Veterans Day information. We invite Veterans to come and enjoy an amazing day of programs along with a very nice lunch. RSVP is required for lunch.
